Research 2019

The research presentations once again provided some exceptional work by the fourth year group.  They were presented on 1st May to the trainee gorup and programme team.  Dr Julie Collins and Dr Ryan Say were overall winners and were presented with the Dr Micheál Fanning Perpetual Research Award.  Congratualtion to them both.

Acknowledgement is also given to the trainers for their guidance and support with the audit and research projects.

Audit Presentations 2019

Well done to all who presented their audits the end of April.  Congratualtions to Dr Kate Vernon who was the highest scorer on the day.  Dr David Buckley, Kate's trainer, is pictured below with Kate, following the presentation of the Dr Dick Shanahan Perpetual Audit Award.

Personal Development Day 2018

Another super end of term personal development day this year.  Weather gods were with us this year too!

Some started the day with a gentle stroll in Killarney National Park.  The afternoon proved a little more active at the Kenamre Eclipse Activity Centre.

The photos below will show some great team work in play and some action shots!

The day finished with a barbque and a little significant birthday couldn't go unacknowleged either.

Thanks to Els and all who made it a terrific day.

Graduates 2018

An informal end of term graduation dinner was held the beginning of June.  Sadly we have to say goodbye to six more trainees in July.  It has been an absolute joy having them with us over the last few years and we wish them all the very best for the years ahead.

Research 2018

Research Day marks the beginning of the end of GP training for our 4th Years due to finish in July.  And what a way to showcase their greatness - well done to all who presented.  We look forward to seeing your research projects presented elsewhere and published too!

The winner of the Dr Micheál Fanning Perpetual Research Award went to Dr Abimbola Akintola, Dr Els Gillis and Dr Christa Marczuk.  They are photographed below with Dr Aidan Daly, Assistant Programme Director.
